| Description | Beginning with works emerging from Athens and Jerusalem and proceeding to the modern world, this year-long course will explore the ideas that¬onstitute Western Civilization. The course material will be centered on the Great Books from across disciplinary boundaries, and will include authors such as Shakespeare, Plato, Dante, Einstein, Augustine, Darwin, Homer, Locke, Goethe, Eliot, and the writers of the Old and New Testaments. |
